Last trip for the readers of 'Anastasis Project' : a tour at Malta, and more specifically in Valetta, a very interesting old city with a lot of History. On the first day of our trip there, jacques had made up his mind: a part of his next story would take place there.
Though a quite small island in the mediterraneen sea, it has had some importance in the past, and is now a little tax haven for some companies.

When arriving at Malta airport, the first contact you make with the city is the bus map. Very intriguing, with loops understandable only from the locals, displayed bus numbers which do not correspond to the buses... The only solution to find out which bus to take is to ask the driver himself. Anyway, Jean Legarec was quick to solve the problem ! He took a cab !

And at each street corner, the blue of the sea.

In the book, the story takes place in december, so the temperature in Malta was mild. But in this island where it seldom rains, it can get very very hot. Wearing a hat is than mandatory if you want to avoid a heat stroke. You can find a large choice of hats at each street corner.

First evening for Jean. As he has to wait for the next day to meet his contact, and as he is a French guy who likes good food, he spends his evening in Marsaxlokk (pronounced Marsashlok) and its little fishing harbor to savour a good fresh fish.

On the other side of the sea inlet, the landscape changes: modern buildings, night clubs and bars for tourists.

Jean will be contacted by the Libyan group in the richly decorated Saint John co-cathedral.
